CALL ME MS GRAY IN THE FALL!! SHADES OF GRAY!!

I cannot emphasize my love for the fall season. Having to play around with different outfits styles and making an effort to layer and make it loove stylish and well put together. Ahhhhh!! Life has been given. 

In todays post, im serious guys dont call me Ms Essien, my name is now Mrs is Gray. lol not Just  joking. Can you see this monochromatic perfection in this post. I have come to accept that in styling you dont have to have all the colors right, in fact, i prefer little contrasts here and there.

Ive paired this gray mock neck midi dress with this ankle sock shoe. For the extra chilly days i have thrown on this comfy gray jacket. I love how all the shades of gray work together. 

To be honest, I will be wearing these outfits and styles this fall and these are definitely some of my fall wardrobe staples so you will be seeing my style a lot of midi dresses this season, best said now before it seems like breaking news ... I am too dry ...lol.

METALLICS x SHADES OF GRAY (HOWISTYLEDIT is One)

Hello loves, Happy  almost friday to you all. I promise you its been a very stressful week for me, to the point where i kept procrastinating my blog posts. 

I have good news to share with you all. October is the month that HowIstyledit turned one yay!!. Even though technically i created this blogsite two years ago, proper handwork and effort only started two years ago. In celebration i have this You balloons  and i hope you like them.

In todays,sharing my love for this metallic skirt and gray shades. Lately ive been going back to my old obsessions. Colors like grays, nudes, burgundy and white are my go to during the fall season. I found myself styling gray outfits lately, sorry in advance guys if i suddenly goes all gray in here. 

Ive paired the perfect sweater with this metallic skirt from +boohoo.com  very affordable and gorgeous. I also paired this look with these different shades of gray clutch and shoes. This loo was pretty easy to put together based on the fact that initially i was skeptical about styling metallics. This outfit is just perfect for fall, throw on a coat and you are ready to slay with the perfect layers.

GOT MY FALL GLOW ON! FEEL BEAUTY PRODUCT REVIEW!!

Happy Fridays lovelies!! I hope you are all excited about the weekend. In today's post I'm sharing my love for these amazing beauty products by @feelbeauty. I got sent two products to review. One is a hair product (Beachy) which is a complete texture mist. The other is a self tanning glow kit (Glowing) which helps enhance and stimulate melanin.

Because I already have enough melanin. lol I have been using his product to even out my skin tone and trust me it actually gives me that extra glow that I need/would be needing this fall/winter season when the sun goes into hiding.

Beachy(hair mist) review;  The hair mist helped with the texture of my low cut natural hair. Especially when I'm on the go and don't feel like wearing my wig, I spray the mist on and move it around with my fingers, after allowing it to air dry my hair looks gorgeous. This mist actually softens the hair which is why I love it.

GLOWING (Self Tanning); I love having that evenly toned skin with that extra glow. This product has got me feeling extremely beautiful inside and out. I showed the process in pictures of how I got the perfect glow using this product. I had a sugar scrub with my homemade sugar and coconut oil scrub , before applying this product. Let's talk about this below!!!

FOR THE LOVE OF NAVY x RUFFLES x COMFORT!!!

Happy Hump Day my lovelies!! I hope everyone's having a great day so far. I personally took today off and ild be spending some time with my family and shopping as well. 

In today's, post i am sharing my love for all things Navy, ruffle and comfort. Lets talk about comfort a little bit. Its all about being free from pain or constraints, which heartbreaking for me to say but truthfully, high heeled shoes bring. 

This look is all about being stylish yet comfortable hence, my flat pair of shoes. If you've been following me on this journey, you would know i have a thing for wearing the color blue particularly Navy blue.

Which brings me to this point where i share my short story about HOW I HAVE RESTYLED ALL THIS PIECES.

During the summer i purchased this ruffle off the shoulder top from +boohoo.com . I also purchased this navy pant in a coord set from +ASOS . What other time but fall to style both pieces. This fall shades of blue are really in and i must remind you that i was totally out of outfit ideas for this look. When i figured out what i wanted to style i reminded myself that sometimes i want to look casual but still be a stunner. I will be sharing how i am able to recycle my clothing in another post.

I also paired this outfit with a red bag, great contrast i think. What are your thoughts? My oversized Celine style glasses from @fxshnjunkestore has also been a winner for me lately. This outfit can be worn casually and as always if you want to switch it up, just put on a pair of high heeled shoes, roll down the ankle and you are good to go.

Off the shoulder mini x Bandanna x Lace up

 Seems like i cant seem to take my eyes off anything off the shoulder this summer. So im back at it again with this blush off the shoulder mini dress. I have paired this with a mint bandanna and a mint lace up sandals. This look has three of my go to pieces this summer.
           
   With this look i was going for a more casual but stylish look. I am one to praise heels of all types and inches but lets be honest, flat sandals or shoes should be shown more appreciation. Hence, this mint lace up sandal is just perfect for this season and convenient to wear around this summer.

The off the shoulder dress has a frill and I love my off shoulders with dramatic designs by my neckline or on this sleeves. Will you be rocking your minis as opposed to shorts this summer?.

SUMMER x LIGHTWEIGHT CREPE JUMPSUIT

Hello Loves. i hope you all had a great start to your week. In today's post im sharing my love for lightweights this season.

It is getting so hot lately and the only way out for me is still remaining stylish but wearing all things lightweight.

I have paired this army green lightweight crepe jumpsuit from forever 21 with this pair of white basic tee also from forever 21. Dont forget i told you in my previous post that i will be living in tees this summer.

This outfit is so simple yet chic and can be paired with a sandal or sneakers for a more casual look. This outfit is just perfect for this weather, with the fabric of the jumpsuit being chiffon, you better believe that it is lightweight and allows room for air.

Hello loves, hows your weekend going? I bet great. In todays post I am sharing my love for tees and jersey skirts, typically what i live for and in during summer. 

I have the most accurate tee from forever21 and i love the fact that i can walk around and people get to stop and comment on how accurate my tee is because none of us want low batteries this summer. lol.

I paired my tee with a jersey skirt and a pair of trainers/sneakers very casual look for me this summer as i would rather run quick errands looking like this .Lately, ive been loving the choker trend ,but now im starting to think that its a little out of place in this look.

Off the Shoulder x Lace : Wedding Guest Inspiration

Hello loves, how are you doing? I am sure everyone is excited about the midweek already. I am just as excited. With so many overwhelming developments and changes going on that i cant wait to share with you guys.

In today's post, i'm sharing a wedding guest outfit idea. I am currently in love with all things off the shoulder. Baring it all for you in today's post yet again.

I love how this navy, off the shoulder, lace dress fits and to crown it all it has a side split. I love,love, love it.

I will definitely be wearing this kind of outfit to a wedding this summer and if you see me in this particular outfit in an event that you are attending. Hahahaha, just know that i already said it here. 

Ive paired this outfit with gorgeous gold accessories, shoes and clutch too. Ive found overtime that with Gold accessories  you can never go wrong. I also love this navy color, as i have been getting compliments on how well navy goes with my skin tone. So ladies, make sure that you are getting in tune with what colors go well with your skin tone in order to get the attention of that best man who just might be the one , *winks*.

FLORALS x COLD (OFF) SHOULDERS!!

Hello loves, so excited that it's weekend already. 

For some reason, I just wanted this week to end real fast... lol. 

In today's, post I'm getting a little festival vibe. I love this goddess inspired look. Just reminding  myself constantly that I am queen and deserves nothing less than a queen does. 

I love this cold shoulder yellow dress, for these almost summer days. I love the color yellow. It has never been my favorite because I never really buy outfits in this color  but this outfit is everything. 

The dress goes well with my skin tone and I love the floral garland as well the prefect crown I needed for this look. These pair of Kendra Scott earrings are gorgeous and fit for a queen, don't you think?. 

I decided to tone down this look by using this earth tone or neutral color (Brown). This woven waist belt and this brown sandals go perfectly with this look on those casual weekend outings or during this festival season.

Hello loves, I hope you are having an amazing day. I wonder if you get carried away with so much work that everyday brings?. That's exactly what happened to me yesterday; Hence, this post didn't go live.

In today's post, which I initially wanted to describe as a work wear Wednesday post but let's scratch that. 

This post is all about the perfect work wear. It's kinda hard for me trying to dress up for work everyday and not just throw on a pair of slacks and any top. 

I decided to have some fun with this look by mixing pleats (the skirt) and frills(the top). This is such a great way to look cooperate yet chic (sheek).

Hello loves, happy new month. I hope your week has started off great. For my Nigerian readers I hope you had an amazing long weekend due to the May Day public holiday. If you are not in Nigeria .. Awwwwhhh don't get jealous readers.. Lol 

In today's post I'm styling this peach Cullottes from Newlook London. I styled this Cullotte with a white shirt.  This takes the focus from the cullote because for me they seem to look awkward especially when you have to put your thighs apart for the style to show. Other than that. I love how these colors work. 

I am also back it it again with my peach bandana. (Bandana obsession continues) . This is such a chic (sheek) look. One of my favorites as well.

SHADES OF BLUE !!

Hello loves, how has your day been so far? Mine was a bit laid back, bad weather got me feeling some type of way.

 Before I start this post this is one of those shoots that I had when I was feeling bloated so please excuse the excessive and over exergerated  areas. Lol.

In today's post I'm sharing my take on playing with shades of blue. This spring pastels are really one of my favorite color tones. This navy trouser suit from is Asos Here is one that I will be restyling. Lol. 

I paired this trouser suit with a sky blue bralet and a sky blue pair of shoes. It's really easy to style and piece outfits together which is why I am here to give you ideas.  I also wore this outfit to church yesterday but switched up the bralet for a more conservative look. 

This outfit can be worn to any occasion and you will slay, without the jacket you also have a more casual look which does not limit where or how you can wear this outfit.
